Spring Travel
In spring, the SVE Soccer Club plays in the Broome County Travel League with the goal of fielding as many teams as possible. Under 8 and Under 10 are Rec coed teams, as national soccer does not promote competitive play at those age groups. Under 12 and older are competitive. For the last three years, we have been able to field girls teams at the U12 and U14 levels. When interest is expressed, we offer a Kinder program for younger kids.
Spring Travel:
| Season: | Practices may start indoor in March or April; games begin late April |
| Location: | 4 home games in SVE; 4 away games, most within one-hour’s drive |
| Time: | Saturday any time; Sunday PM only |
| Ages: | U8-U19; boys and girls; actual teams depend on how many sign up |
| Cost: | $40 for U10 and up; U8 - $20 |
| Games: | U8 and U10 are small sided with modified rules; U12 & up follow FIFA |
| Equipment: | Shin guards, soccer sox |
| Uniform: | Red club tee shirts |
Scholarships
Full and partial, are available. The SVE Soccer Club works with a family so that every kid who wants to play – can play, regardless of family income or employment issues.
